Of course we had to make one more stop on our way out of Maine and through New Hampshire.  Love love love this little spot.  One of my favorites from 2015.  Lobster rolls, chowder and ice cream and to top it off the beach!! What more do you need? 2nd trip here and I still hold it up on the top of the charts.  I opted for the 8 oz (2nd smallest size) as I wanted room for everything else.  It was loaded with the sweetest fresh Atlantic lobster. Yum!!!  Nice hot sunny day for the beach and ice cream as well.  

Overall 9.3 (the black flies, noseeums and bees take a little notch off the top.

2nd roll of the day

For tonight I opted for the classic Maine style roll.  I am not sure if there was even any mayo on this baby but the meat was delicious.  I actually couldn't get enough as I finished my daughter's roll too (1st roll for her).  Meat was cold and so fresh.  Her roll was a "buttered" delight - actually the Maine version of the CT roll with the butter on the side.  Which in my opinion - it didn't need any butter.  Meat up here is just so fresh and delicious.

Cute spot for sports and good food.

Overall 9.1 - leaving room for possible New Hampshire tomorrow

Yum!!! Not the biggest ever but the big red chunks of meat were delicious. Price was decent for the amount of fresh Maine lobster $16.95.  Fun addition to my lobster roll addiction is my nieces had their first roll with me :) 

The clam chowder was delicious too with a perfect thickness and plenty of potatoes and clams. 

Not horrible on the wait but it was a rainy day, waited about 30 minutes for our food. 

I expect so much out of Maine so I have to go a little low with this one as it's the first of the weekend.

Was looking for a place to eat and decided to try a spot that has been recommended to me by a few people.  Well #1, the black flies were horrendous. #2 the roll? eh it was okay the lobster and roll were way over buttered. The location was nice as it was directly across from the beach but I most likely will not be back.

Lazy Lobster, Milford CT

This is my second visit to this little gem in Milford. I love the fresh baguette roll that the sweet chunks of lobster are strategically placed on.  Today was a last minute stop but totally worth the $18. 

The young, friendly staff was added to the ambience of the nearby beach.  

Will definitely go back soon for the shrimp and corn chowder and more lobster.

The Chelsea, Fairfield CT

The kids were gone for the day, Which left me free to roam on my own.  I decided what better time then to check a top spot off my "to try" list. 

Glad I did.  Nice spot to come back to. As for the roll: first this delight was on a toasty pretzel roll, fairly loaded with sweet red meat which was dripping with hot... melted...  butter.  Possibly a little too juicy but yet not overwhelming.

Seasoned quite well, I'm thinking lime and maybe cilantro this roll was perfect for a hot summer day such as today.  Although filling, my meal felt light even on the pretzel roll. Some truffle fries on the side made a nice addition along with my green tea.

I stopped for a moment to type and when I went back for another bite it was gone.  Lol I finished it without even knowing, and felt sad it was done.

Overall rating: 9.1 it's still early in the summer but this was a nice twist on the local  CT roll.
